it all began by exploring a simple idea: what if meme coins could still be useful even after their hype fades?
memestakes basically enables users to stake meme tokens while retaining liquidity and unlocking new financial use cases.
while meme coins attract massive attention during hype cycles, they quickly lose relevance once momentum drops. for most users, this leaves behind idle assets with little to no utility.
meme coins gain rapid attention but lack long-term utility. once hype fades, they sit idle in wallets with no meaningful use.
staking enables yield, but locks assets in place. users are forced to choose between earning rewards and maintaining liquidity.
problem 3
understanding concepts like staking and slippage requires a learning curve which limits accessibility to non-crypto users.
designing for this product meant working in a space that was both unfamiliar and fast-moving. while learning core web3 concepts, i had to simplify complex financial flows and make quick decisions on what to prioritise — all within a tight timeline.
